So like, my saga with saffron, its a bumpy one.. It went from me believing it waz some random fancy color dust at first, yeah I was very basic with my spice knowledge, i know. Now ? Okay, I’m gonna be blunt; probably almost never. And yes that strong. I know , sometimes when we try to be economical some power will be less exspensive so what the big deal, yeah?? Either the spice shop was lazy or shady as it should be used after 1 or 2 weeks, or two you have an imposter saffron . powder stuff can have some added turmeric or even paprika in there— which make it like super basic not fun ! The sad part it’s that you can get scammed and dont feel any of this fancy and unique flavors, all wasted , not worth it , no ! so its is a major red flag, in my personal experiency is the worse experience. If youre buying powdered, its more that you’re trusting with your luck because they will just lie to your face ! Why did I Care this Much in the First Place?

At the very start I wuz really like most casual, you know?, with spice things . Now it turns on another story ! After all this “scientific exploration”. my simple goal from ” fancy cookies ” becomes another kind of meaning. Not only I want great look, color, flavour but this feeling from the deep! Like we learn new meaning with that passion . It make sense i did this research because cooking need some heart inside!. Is that how you really connect the dishes not just an act but is another deep level human thing ( maybe im crazy but for me makes perfect sense!). The passion to get only the best also made all dishes with this kind of dedication so that a deep part for those things , those special details to elevate to new leve,. If I never learn this “fancy” experience for this super threads, for sure I still will just believe that any thing works.. That what made the “click ” on my saffron story : It not only for making tasty dishes its more that ! thats what my conclusion . Now im super “passionate” and now know where all money i spent was from . So yeah is good and cool to feel this about it. (and yes also my fancy cookies!)
